Conserve it! Wonder Gel!(Full)

What do jelly pudding, shower gel and slime have in common? Yes, they are all variations of aqueous gels. Did you know gels can also be used to conserve artworks and artefacts? During the Muse Fest HK in November this year, Science Promotion Unit of Hong Kong Science Museum and the Conservation Office will collaborate for the first time to jointly organise the workshop “Conserve it! Wonder Gel!”. Assistant Curators of the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Conservation Office will lead the participants to become junior conservators. We are now recruiting junior conservators to experiment and explore with us, tackle challenges faced by conservators and help to protect our cultural heritage! Let’s play and learn!
