“Gear Up” Science Courier is one of the extension activities of the “Gear Up” outreach programme. It aims to allow more students and young people to learn science by providing a complemented material pack for them to participate in a hands-on activity with an online instruction video to arouse their interest in science. Through the “Gear Up” Science Courier, students and young people can learn the concept of material science, understand the difference between fluorescence and phosphorescence and the scientific principles behind them, while creating their own glow-in-the-dark mosaic coaster artworks.
*The programme only accepts applications from local primary schools or non-profit making organisations / groups for children and youth.

| Mode | Material packs will be sent to the successfully enrolled organisations / groups. Participants can participate in the workshop by scanning the QR code on the material packs to watch an instruction video. The workshop can be held in any venue as decided by the organisation / group or at home by the participants themselves. Due to the nature of the material pack, it is advised to complete the workshop within 2 weeks after receiving the material pack. |
