The Science Walk of Fame

Where do the diverse scientific knowledge and technology we know today actually come from? And who were the curious minds behind these monumental breakthroughs? To mark the 35th anniversary of the Hong Kong Science Museum, we have transformed the footbridge outside the museum into a corridor through time, paying tribute to 35 scientific pioneers who changed the world. Thanks to their relentless pursuit of knowledge, our world has been shaped into what it is today.

As you stroll along the footbridge, you will journey through thousands of years of human ingenuity – from natural philosophy and classical physics to life sciences, the information revolution, space exploration and the frontiers of technology. The display also uses artificial intelligence to recreate the likenesses of these scientists in a sketch style, inviting you to unleash your imagination and encounter them across the ages.
