With the approach of rainy and typhoon season, do you want to learn how to be a weather expert to forecast rainstorms or the arrival of typhoon? Science Promotion Unit of Hong Kong Science Museum will organise the “Popular Science Reading Workshop - Tropical Cyclones & Interesting Weather Observation” in July. The Director of Weather Underground of Hong Kong and the Meteorologist of United Nations ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee, Mr. Clarence Fong, is invited to share with us his popular science books such as “Hong Kong Weather & Observation (2nd Revised Edition)”. Mr Fong will also introduce different weather instruments, explain the science behind tropical cyclones and make anemometers and upcycled eco-friendly rain gauges together with the participants. Suitable for: Students aged 8-12, each student must be accompanied by an adult
Fee: HK$50 (Inclusive of the activity fee for the student, free of charge for the adult as a companion)

Capacity: 16 groups, 2 persons per group (seats available on a first-come, first-served basis)
